Medical Record Review and Analysis

LMI’s skilled staff of medical and legal specialists, supported by advanced technologies, distills medical record data, deciphers records, and delivers insight via customized work products and services that assist clients in achieving favorable outcomes. This insight provides counsel a base from which strategic decisions may be made to settle, mediate/arbitrate, or try cases.

On a number of occasions, as dictated by record volume and complexity, LMI has partnered with clients in a surplus capacity. The LMI Medical Division staff is able to directly support the client’s internal staff, working within client-established parameters and at the client’s direction to create work products using templates provided by the client.

Medical Division staff members focus on the specific needs of each client, and are trained to review records to identify confounding variables and alternative causation, detect altered documents, decipher illegible documents, and catalog additional providers of care. As the staff prepare work products, they place an emphasis on the story of the patient as well as the story of the record.  Above all else, staff is dedicated to producing high-quality work products.

The division’s experienced professionals primarily include Registered Nurses (BSN), as well as Physicians, Certified Physician’s Assistants and Allied Health professionals who lend particular expertise in selected fields. A number of LMI’s medical staff members hold dual and/or advanced degrees and credentials, such as MSN/MBA, RN/LNC and BSN/JD.
