Client expectations continue to rise, and organizations that fail to act risk falling behind. While the environmental and economic impacts of sustainability initiatives vary by industry and company size, one thing is clear: there is no one-size-fits-all approach. Meaningful progress requires long-term commitment, intentional strategy, and continuous improvement.
What is Corporate Sustainability?
Corporate sustainability is an organization’s commitment to creating long-term value by integrating ethical, environmental, social, and economic considerations into its business strategy.
At its core, an effective sustainability strategy should promote:
- Longevity
- Transparency
- Employee development
Building LMI's Sustainability Program
LMI launched its Corporate Sustainability and Responsibility Program in 2020. While the organization already had a strong foundation built over 40 years, the program formalized our commitment and identified new opportunities for improvement.
Shortly after launch, the COVID-19 pandemic accelerated a major operational shift, transitioning our onsite workforce to a fully remote model. This change prompted a reassessment of both short- and long-term sustainability goals, with an increased focus on employee education and advocacy.
Recognition
LMI was awarded a commitment badge by EcoVadis for 2025 through 2026 in recognition of our sustainability efforts. We remain focused on continuously improving our performance in the years ahead.
